The Decision
After your decision to move forward with Solar, we will discuss goals and the possibility of adding battery storage or other features such as EV charging. A cost and saving breakdown will be provided to you. Whether you pay cash or want to use financing, we can advise you with those solutions as well.
The Process
Please sit back and relax as we will do all the work! The process could take anywhere from 3-6 weeks to get to install day with an additional week or so to acquire the operating permission letter from the Utility Company.
Data Collection & Engineering
If more information is needed and not gathered during the initial visit to your home, we may schedule a follow-on Site Visit to collect more data. This information will be used to formulate a final installation plan, create engineering drawings, and will be used by our top-notch installers.
Approvals
After the engineering documents are completed, approvals by the Building Inspector & Utility company will be required. If you live in an HOA, we will take all the steps necessary for their concurrence as well.
Install Day
Once all approvals are in and materials are available, we will schedule your installation on a date & time agreeable to you. The installation could take 2-3 days depending on whether you are just doing solar or are adding battery storage. At the end of the install, we will go over system features and help you download & understand any manufacturers App to monitor your system.
Permission to Operate
Once installed, a passed inspection by the City or County is needed, which is usually requested for the last day of our visit. This approval is then shared with the Utility Company who issues your Permission to Operate (PTO). After that, we will send you instructions on how to enable your Solar system and then you are all set.
Iron-clad Warranties
QSE only installs solar products from leading or top-rated U.S. suppliers and manufactures such as Tesla, QCell, REC N-Peak, and EnPhase. Tesla Powerwall's have a full 10-year warranty. The REC ProTrust Solar Panel warranty covers product, performance, and labor for a full 25 years! EnPhase micro-inverter warranty periods are 25 years and their newest IQ 5P storage batteries are 15 years. A PV system installed by QSE and Master Certified Rooftop Services, the full GAF Shingle & Timberline warranties are between 25 - 50 years with 5-year workmanship and service warranties available.
